I have not updated my journal in forever! I've been really busy working on Pooka's Sphinx adoptable, running events and colouring and I've been having tons of fun with them! I'll post some of my favorite colour jobs up here soon.... by soon I mean after our Canadian road trip. In just a few days we're driving out of Elliot Lake and heading west. We've got a few stops planned, but mostly we're just meandering west to see what we can see and going till we run out of money. We're traveling pretty frugally so hopefully we can make it last. A few of our stops involve dinosaur parks and museums and historical villages.... We're also sort of looking for a new place to relocate. As pretty as Elliot Lake is, its honestly starting to feel a bit like a really sweet trap. Outwardly its a beautiful city surrounded by amazing wilderness, but if you start to look to closely you see all the empty storefronts, the huge imbalance between those with money and those without, not to mention the amazing record setting unemployment here (its a city of about 12 000 people, but barely over 2000 people have full time work). I also wouldn't mind getting away from our bizzare, vandalizing trailer trash neibours either. (nothing personal about people who live in trailers, cuz I do! But the honorific of 'trailer trash' and all of its stereotypes was pretty much designed for our neibours!)

We've been doing a lot of driving around lately and I've got a few great pics to share. I think thats it for now, all updated. (-8

Its only October 3rd. Yesterday I was rained on, hailed on and SNOWWED on! ah, its gonna be a long cold winter....

Its been a while for me. Since my last post I've gotten employed again. Five times. I haven't lost any jobs, i just work five jobs now, usually 6 days a week, sometimes 7 and its keeping me pretty busy. Elliot Lake is rife with blackflies and mosquitoes, one of the worst years ever and 3 of my 5 jobs are outdoors, yay me! I'm beging work on Pooka's sphinxe website again today after a bit of hiatus and hopefully we'll colaborate on another fairy comic soon (of maybe a cowgirl one......).
I'm currently watching all of BSG the reimagining (I never really liked this term, but its what the kids are saying right?) and I'm really enjoying it. I've also been listening to Terry Prachett books on my mp3 player at work and I just finished The Colour of Magic which was cool... only about 30 more books to go, interspersed with perhaps some learn french (I need a refresher) books, maybe the Dresden Files (its been recomended to me, but I don't know much yet execepts its been comparted to Anita Blake whom I really like) and lots of the Donnas with a smattering of other songs I'm currently addicted to. I'm a little behing on my comics. I've just barely been keeping up with the secret invasion, but I'm admitedly a little baffled by some of the backstory. Same with the new X-men stuff... I'm trying to piece it all together but I'm reading all sorts of stuff out of sequence, lol. There is an older series I've been reading though called 'Codename Knockout' thats really pretty cool. Its campy and kind of silly and reminds me of Danger Girl, with a few extra sex scenes. I haven't really found 'that' series yet to fill the void of Y the last man being gone though....

So, thats enough for now, I could babble on for hours..... I just don't have hours anymore, at least not consectuive ones... Back to work!

Just in case it's never happened to you, fighting with someone you love sucks worse then you can imagine. Its easier to hurt and be hurt by someone you care about. Add a talented dramatic artist and a frustrated wannabe writer and you can easily leave a trail of broken dishes deleted comments and some much deeper wounds.
Sorry about any comments I deleted in my destructive rampage of destructiveness and mostly I'm sorry to Pooka who sent all of the comments this way and were mostly hers anyways being she did all the hard work with her amazing art and I just babbled some in character thoughts.
